Why Spotlight Essentials exists

At Spotlight Inclusion, we know that many organisations remain committed to EDI work but are facing very real pressures around budget, time, capacity and confidence. We conducted research to understand more about what leaders want. One of the clearest messages was that many leaders still want support, but one-off consultancy and irregular training costs can feel difficult to commit to and lack the depth that is needed to make real change.

Spotlight Essentials was created in response to that.

What’s included

EQUITABLE, PRACTICAL, TRANSFORMATIVE

An equitable approach to pricing

We know that financial capacity should not be the thing that determines whether organisations can access meaningful inclusion support.

That is why Spotlight Essentials uses a tiered pricing model:

Tier 1: £1,000

For very small or volunteer-led organisations, or those with a turnover under £250k.

Tier 2: £1,500

For organisations with a turnover under £5m.

Tier 3: £2,500

For organisations with a turnover over £5m.

As a values-led organisation, we trust subscribers to select the tier that best reflects their context. This pricing model is part of our ethical approach to EDI work. We do not want cost to be an unnecessary barrier to progress - get in touch if you feel cost will be prohibitive.

To subscribe to Spotlight Essentials, we ask organisations to pay a refundable £250 deposit by 31 July. This helps us confirm genuine interest and plan the subscription ahead of launch on 1 September.

  • "It has been a joy working with Shonagh both at The Old Vic and the National Theatre. Displaying a sensitive and collaborative working style, Shonagh establishes an immediate rapport with key staff which enables consensus driven cultural change. She has provided us with training programmes for new and established staff, advice on topical and complex issues, a sounding board for colleagues, and been a working guide on inclusion and belonging to further education within the workforce in the broadest sense. Staff feedback on training was extremely positive and has resulted in a clearer understanding about the inclusive community that we all want to foster in theatre."

Kate Varah: Executive Director at The National Theatre

  • "We were seeking support to help us continue our journey of organisational cultural change and found the perfect partnership with Spotlight Consultancy. Spotlight Consultancy’s mix of training, active-learning and action-based outcomes alongside longer-term coaching support for the senior team is helping further our thinking and giving us the confidence and skills to take short and medium term action."
