COLLABORATIVE, INTENTIONAL, EMPOWERING

What is the EDI in the Arts programme?

It is is a transformative, leadership-focused learning experience designed to help arts organisations embed equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) meaningfully and sustainably.

The programme supports teams to navigate the complex challenges of inclusion in the arts—especially when working with limited budgets and capacity.

Delivered online over 11 monthly sessions, the programme offers practical strategies, sector-specific insights, and collaborative tasks that empower participants to take real action. It’s ideal for senior leaders, trustees, and anyone with responsibility for EDI in their organisation.

Why is this programme important?

The challenges for the arts continue to increase.

With pressures on leaders and arts professionals to create organisations which are values driven and inclusive spaces together with financial and capacity challenges, delivering on an EDI strategy can be difficult.

There is a need for the arts to be more reflective of our communities, accessible to all, and inclusive, but it is difficult to know how to achieve this ideal. Our extensive work in the sector, research and EDI leadership helps organisations to find a way to EDI progress.

“The EDI in the Arts programme was in depth, thought provoking, challenging, accessible, practical and implementable. It should be compulsory to all humans! I cant recommend this programme enough, as an arts organisation but also across all areas of working and personal life”.

Lauren King - Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre
